Pathways Project (complete)
In 2021 we completed our long standing pathways project. Working with Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and Outdoor Recreation Northern Ireland to undertake a strategic review of all existing community trails and identify gaps in the current provision as well as any issues, barriers and constraints to the existing community trail network. This led to the provision of a number of new trails in the Seaforde area, including our own Seaforde Woodland walkway around Million Tree wood. The Committee continues to support the community’s enjoyment of the pathway including laising with our generous landowners and various agencies to resolve parking issues and general up-keep.
Children’s Play Park
One of our ongoing priorities is to progress plans and raise money for a children’s playground in Seaforde, this was one of the projects originally identified in the Seaforde Integrated Vision and Action Plan.
